In celebration of Navy Day, Russia held military parades across the world on Sunday, showing off ships and aircraft in a massive show of force.

The military parades in St. Petersburg, Crimea, and Syria, among other places, were held on an "unprecedented scale," according to The Drive.

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the St. Petersburg parade, where he delivered a speech along a platform on the Neva River.

The St. Petersburg parade included 50 ships and submarines, 40 aircraft, and more than 5,000 sailors, according to CNN.
