The suspected gunman was fatally shot by police, Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Johnston added that he does not know how many people were injured, but "a number" of students were medically evacuated from the scene.

"We have about 100 law enforcement personnel in Rancho Tehama right now with multiple, multiple scenes," he said.
