A Flight for Life medical helicopter operated by St. Anthony Hospitals has crashed near Vail, Colorado.

Fire and rescue crews tended to the fiery wreck Friday afternoon. CBS Dever reports the helicopter crashed while departing St. Anthony's Summit Medical Center in the city of Frisco.

Three medical personnel were on board the helicopter, CBS4 reports. All were injured, one critically, according to the station.

You can see from these photos provided by Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue that the aircraft was nearly unrecognizable.
