A top Delhi lawyer just declared unaccounted income worth Rs 125 crore and this has shocked legal fraternity

A top lawyer of Delhi sent shocking waves in the legal fraternity as well as in the income tax department after he declared unaccounted income worth Rs 125 crore.

The lawyer, who practices in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court, made the surprising revelation after tax department officials searched his south Delhi residence.

The well reputed lawyer owns a Rs 100 crore worth bungalow in central Delhi.

The tax department is cracking down on consultants and lobbyists.

The searches on the lawyer's premises comes after the last day of declaring income got over on September 30.

Indications are that the I-T department will move on high-profile targets who are suspected to have huge amounts of undeclared money but failed to avail of the window offered by the I-T department.
