Amitabh Bachchan, one of the greatest actors of India, is also one of the most socially active celebrities. He has been an avid blogger since many years, and keeps on sharing tidbits from his onscreen and off-screen life on his social media profiles.

The actor also has a special name for his social family; he lovingly calls his fans and followers as EF, which means extended family. His Twitter handle is surely a happy place, where he can be seen interacting with his EF and retweeting their love and appreciation messages.

However, the actor got to see the bad side of the cyber world today, as his Twitter account was allegedly hacked by a yet to be identified user. The actor, who is followed by 16.6 million people worldwide and himself follows 984 accounts as of yet, found some 'sex sites' being followed by his account. This was when he realized that his account had been hacked.

The actor, who is very conscious and protective about his social image after being in the limelight since decades, decided to clarify this in a tweet that read,

The sex sites have since been unfollowed, and we hope that the hackers learn their lesson from this 'humble' appeal.

UPDATE: Mr. Bachchan went on to say that the plot of this hacking has thickened. Apparently, someone was sending him abusive messages since around a year, and he has now submitted them to the police.
