Amy Schumer stripped down for the 43rd Pirelli calendar, but she's one of few women who did.

The Pirelli calendar, published by the tire company, usually features scantily-clad models, but this year, the company announced a departure from its usual themes to honor 13 distinguished women "of outstanding professional, social, cultural, sporting, and artistic accomplishment."

Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the photos of the women - including Amy Schumer, Serena Williams, Ava DuVernay, Patti Smith, Kathleen Kennedy, and Yoko Ono - and said that the idea was to have "straightforward" photos.

"When Pirelli approached me, they said they wanted to make a departure from the past. They suggested the idea of photographing distinguished women," she said in a statement. "I wanted the pictures to show the women exactly as they are, with no pretense."

Though a majority of the women are fully-clothed, Williams and Schumer both stripped down to their underwear.

"The Amy Schumer portrait added some fun," Leibovitz said. "It's as if she didn't get the memo saying that she could keep her clothes on."

Schumer posted the photo on Instagram with the caption: "Beautiful, gross, strong, thin, fat, pretty, ugly, sexy, disgusting, flawless, woman. Thank you Annie Leibovitz!"

The complete calendar will be unveiled tonight in London.
