'Another pathetic display': Leaked memo shows Donald Trump's campaign lashing out at its critics

The memo, dated April 2 and published early Monday morning, featured Trump campaign senior adviser Barry Bennett railing against the media for saying that the Republican frontrunner had one of his worst weeks of the entire campaign.
The document was titled: "Digging through the Bull S---."
"So this week the Media and the Washington Establishment bashed the campaign with energy yet ever seen against a Republican candidate," Bennett wrote to campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and the "team."
Bennett continued:
You name the medium and it was dominated with Trump Attacks. The media themselves couldn't wait to label the week, "THE WORD WEEK EVER".
DC Pundits scurried to the networks to proclaim the end was at hand for Donald Trump.
Yet another pathetic display by the so called experts who line their pockets at the expense of our candidates and causes.
Despite the negative narrative, Bennett argued, the Trump campaign had actually increased its lead in a national tracking poll of the GOP primary.
"America is sick of them. Their idiotic attacks just remind voters why they hate the Washington Establishment," he concluded.
Bennett confirmed the authenticity of the memo to Post reporter Robert Costa.

The internal campaign message came days before Tuesday's Wisconsin primary, where polls show Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas leading Trump.
It also came after a number of stumbles from the GOP frontrunner.
Trump admitted last weekend that he should not have shared an unflattering photo of Cruz's wife next to a flattering one of his own. Polls have found Trump's numbers sinking among all female voters, Democrats and Republicans, to historic lows.
Notably, Trump also botched a question on Wednesday about who should be punished if abortion were made illegal in the US, infuriating both advocates and opponents of abortion rights. Trump initially said the women would be punished but then reversed himself to say only the providers would be penalized.
Lewandowski, Trump's campaign manager, also made headlines last week after he was charged with simple battery in relation to an incident in which he is accused of grabbing a reporter. Lewandowski, who has maintained his innocence, initially claimed he had not even touched the journalist but video released Tuesday by the Jupiter, Florida, police suggested otherwise.
"Face the Nation" host John Dickerson asked Trump about his rough week on Friday.
"I think I've had many bad weeks and I've had many good weeks. I don't see this as the worst week in my campaign," Trump replied.
