White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci appears to have taken his feud with White House chief of staff Reince Priebus public.

"If Reince wants to explain that he's not a leaker, let him do that," Scaramucci told CNN's Chris Cuomo, during a call-in Thursday morning to "New Day."

"I can speak for my own actions. He's gonna need to speak for his own actions," Scaramucci said.

Scaramucci also said there are "senior leakers" in the White House.

The call-in to CNN was approved directly by President Donald Trump, Scaramucci told Philip Rucker, the Washington Post's White House bureau chief.

The new White House communications director sent out a cryptic tweet Wednesday night that seemed to call out Priebus after Politico published his financial disclosure form, which is public record and available upon request.

"In light of the leak of my financial disclosure info which is a felony. I will be contacting @FBI and the @TheJusticeDept #swamp @Reince45," Scaramucci's tweet read.

After several political commentators and news websites speculated that Scaramucci may have been threatening Priebus in that message, Scaramucci tweeted again: "Wrong! Tweet was public notice to leakers that all Sr Adm officials are helping to end illegal leaks."

He has also deleted the original tweet.

Speaking on CNN Thursday morning, Scaramucci was more explicit about his tweet.

While saying that he respected journalists' right to protect their sources, Scaramucci suggested that reporters having a accusatory reading of his tweet may indicated Priebus was behind the leak.

"They're all making the assumption that it's him because journalists know who the leakers are," Scaramucci said.

Scaramucci is not the only White House official to tie Priebus to the leaks.

"Some in White House are trying to build a case that Priebus is a leaker - 'a diagram' charting leaks, per senior official - to show Trump," Rucker tweeted Wednesday night.

Speaking specifically about his own relationship with Priebus, Scaramucci said Thursday morning "we've had odds, we've had differences." Priebus was opposed to the former hedge fund manager taking a job in the administration and tried to block it at multiple points.

The CNN interview was not the first time Scaramucci and Priebus' tense relationship has come out.

In his first press briefing as White House communications director last Friday, Scaramucci said, "We are a little bit like brothers, where we rough each other up a little, which is totally normal for brothers."

He returned to that analogy on CNN Thursday morning.

"Some brothers are like Cain and Able, other brothers can fight with each other and get along," Scaramucci said. "I don't if this is repairable or not, that will be up to the president."
