The first person to comment on a garment tagged #ShareWear on Instagram gets to borrow the item.

After a week, they need post a photo of themselves in the item. The next person to comment on that photo claims the item, and so on.

The first items in the official #ShareWear collection are by major Swedish designer brands, including Filippa K, House of Dagmar, Nikolaj d'Etoiles, Uniforms for the Dedicated, Weekday, and Whyred.

#ShareWear is an initiative by VisitSweden and the Swedish Institute, a Swedish tourism agency with offices in Stockholm, Paris, and Visby.

The campaign is part of the larger initiative Democreativity, an online database of fashion-related sustainability ideas. It's a Reddit-like forum where people can add and build upon ideas on the site.
#ShareWear encourages us, in whatever small capacity, to think about how much we throw out.
