Auto Expo 2016: Maruti Suzuki's Vitara Brezza Unveiled in India, and it’s a Breeze!

Maruti Suzuki has blown into the subcompact SUV segment with the new Vitara Brezza. The car is expected to launch this month, at an estimated price of Rs. 6-9 lakhs.

Racy leaked images of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza suggested a box-like profile with wide chrome grille, and black cladding on bumpers, wheel arches and belt line get black cladding for a rugged appeal. You’d be glad to know, all that’s true. The top spec variants will get the sexier16-inch alloy wheels while the cheaper trims will get 15 inch steel trims.


There’s more. The driver airbag is standard. And, under the hood, the Brezza only offers a diesel powerhouse- the 1.3 litre DDiS motor. This one generates a power of 66 kW with 200 Nm maximum Torque. A petrol variant may hit India later, but nothing is confirmed as yet.

Inside, the Vitara's all-black cabin looks well appointed. It’s one of the best we’ve seen in a Maruti, post the Baleno. It boasts of features like SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and inbuilt navigation, auto climate control, cruise control and more

On the safety front dual front airbags, ABS and EBD are standard across trims. That’s fantastic priority to safety. Salute!
