Indian cricket team’s coach Anil Kumble’s recent demand for the pay hike of players hasn’t gone down well with Committee of Administrators (CoA) with whom he sat on a meeting last week. His prime demands were to negotiate a pay hike for cricketers, coaches and support staff, and suggested that the coach be allotted a berth in the national selection committee. And this has triggered BCCI to look for new head coach for the team.

The three-member Cricket Advisory Committee of BCCI is comprised of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, who are responsible for conducting interviews and sort the best candidate. This is the same procedure followed by the board last year as well when Kumble was selected.

And this year again, before the team leaves for West Indies tour, BCCI has sent an open notice of hiring of new coach as Kumble’s term ends after Champions’ Trophy.

“To ensure a fair and completely transparent process, a nominee of the Committee of Administrators (CoA) will oversee the entire process along with the Cricket Advisory Committee,” reads the notice.

“The BCCI's three-member Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman will conduct interviews and seek presentations to select the best possible candidate to guide the team and take Indian Cricket forward.”

With the process being open, you can mail your resume by e-mail on or before the 31st of May 2017 to coachappointment@bcci.tv.

Well, Anil Kumble will also be a candidate, though.
