It’s being touted as Salman Khan’s best performance in his career spanning nearly 3 decades, but that’s not the only thing that makes Bajrangi Bhaijaan special for the superstar.

The movie was released on the holy day of Eid, and collected Rs 27.25 crores that day itself. Moreover, in just 4 days of its release, the movie has become the biggest hit of Bollywood this year, leaving behind both Tanu Weds Manu Returns and ABCD 2. The movie entered the much-coveted ‘100 crore club’ in the opening weekend itself, adding another 100 crores to the many that Salman’s movies have been collecting in the past few years.

The collection was confirmed by popular film critic Komal Nahata on his official Twitter handle.
The movie is based on an inter-border journey that Bajrangi (Salman Khan) undertakes in order to safely deliver a young and mute Pakistani girl Munni (Harshalle Malhotra) to her home in POK. The movie, which co-stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor Khan, was released in Pakistan as well, being the first movie based on India-Pakistan relations to be released there.
