In the video, created by the Washington Free Beacon, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, the Democratic nominee for vice president, called Comey "wonderful" and said he was a "tough career public servant."

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called him a "great man" and said "we are very privileged in our country to have him be the director of the FBI." And Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said "no one can question the integrity, the competence" of Comey.

The tune of top Democrats has dramatically changed in recent days after Comey announced he had reopened the investigation into Clinton after new emails were discovered. Reid suggested Comey was guilty of possibly violating federal law and Kaine has questioned has called his behavior "extremely puzzling."
