Kevin Love's 2017 hasn't gotten off to a good start.
After leaving midway through the fourth quarter in the Cavaliers' 90-86 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue revealed Love is going through a bout of food poisoning.
According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Love has lost 10 pounds from some bad sea bass.
Amazingly, Love was still able to play 24 minutes on Monday night, scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds, albeit on 5-of-19 shooting.
Lue said after the game that the Cavs athletic trainer told him, "[Love] had lost 10 pounds and he was throwing up and whatever else I can't say."
Love is in the midst of his best season with the Cavs, averaging nearly 22 points and 11 rebounds per game while shooting 45% from the field, 39% from three. While he was able to play through his food poisoning on Monday, it may take Love some time to recover and regain the weight he's lost.
