Conor McGregor gave his son a life lesson in the importance of working hard while posing shirtless, in jeans and sneakers, beside a multimillion-dollar private jet.
McGregor is renowned for his lavish spending and is rarely seen without an expensive watch, a luxurious car, and a tailored suit. He spends big, but he also earns big because of his pay-per-view appeal in UFC, the premier promotion in the world of cage-fighting.
Together with the hundreds of millions of dollars he has banked from prizefighting, he has also overseen the wildly successful 2018 launch of Proper no. Twelve whiskey. Shortly after, he announced fans could also dress like him with the August McGregor clothing line.

In the year from June 2017 to June 2018, McGregor reportedly earned around $99 million according to Forbes. This was helped largely because of the $85 million cheque he cashed for his 10th round loss to Floyd Mayweather, two years ago. McGregor reportedly scooped a further guaranteed $3 million for his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, but will have been given a larger fee after the pay-per-view figures became known.
The Irishman has certainly come a long way in a short space of time, having been a plumber less than a decade ago. Now, he is one of the most famous athletes on the planet and endorses some of the world's biggest brands like Beats by Dre, Monster Energy, and Rolls Royce.
And this career arc may well have been part of the latest message he sent to his one-year-old son, Conor Jack McGregor Jnr., when he posted a photo of the pair facing a private jet worth millions.
"We must always work hard, my son," McGregor said in the Instagram post. "Working hard is what got us here!"
McGregor will soon return to combat sports
McGregor has one month left to serve on his Nevada State Athletic Commission issued ban after getting slapped with a backdated suspension recently for the part he played in the post-fight brawls that marred his UFC 229 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, last October.
He is free to fight once again from April 6 and has been linked with a number of opponents.
Since McGregor's loss to Nurmagomedov, fellow lightweight Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone has been in show-stopping form as he submitted Mike Perry with a "performance of the night" armbar in November, before a violent ground-and-pound victory over Alexander Hernandez in January.

A fight between Cerrone and McGregor had been talked up by both fighters, as well as UFC boss Dana White. However, White is also eager to book a rematch between McGregor and Nurmagomedov.
One thing is clear - McGregor will be returning to cage-fighting in the coming months, and could even fight twice this year.
