Even as Nepal tries to gather enough people and rescue teams to injured and death, another set of aftershock were felt across Nepal and India with it measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale—making it the biggest after the main earthquake that struck Nepal yesterday morning.

Even as the death toll surpasses the 2,000 mark, massive rescue efforts have been mounted by the Nepalese government ably supported by rescue teams from India. More than 10 air force aircrafts and 210 NDRF teams have been sent to Nepal by India with almost 50 tonnes of relief material. So far, almost 300 Indians have been rescued from Nepal and brought back to India this morning, and efforts are on to bring another 500 Indians stranded in Nepal.

Reports also suggest 61 people have been injured and 18 dead at the Everest base camp; Indian air force team is already overseeing rescue efforts in that area.
