Talking to reporters before filing her nomination, Bedi said, "Our Delhi can become a good Delhi. We will do good practices. We will ask for a security perception index survey. That will tell us which area has more insecurity and which area has more security. This will probably be the first time Delhi will see the security perception index." The former IPS officer also said that she will meet the common people to understand their problems.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal criticised Bedi for putting a BJP scarf on the statue of Lala Lajpat Rai in Krishna Nagar Assembly seat, saying that she should not “saffronise freedom fighters.”

Meanwhile, Congress leader Ajay Maken attacked both Bedi and Kejriwal, alleging that both the leaders used Anna Hazare to pursue their political dreams.

The nomination papers will be scrutinised tomorrow (January 22). The last date for withdrawal of nomination is January 24. The voting would be held on February 7 and the results would be declared on February 10.
