All through yesterday, the hashtag #BoycottAmazon trended on social media. The reason, you ask? The e-commerce major was found featuring sellers who offered doormats with images of Hindu gods, verses from the Quran, and images of Jesus Christ on its American portal.The uproar started on Twitter and soon started to spread on all social media channels, as people showed their anger on Amazon authorities for allowing such products on its platform.
Reportedly, Amazon has taken notice of these products and has started to clear out these products from its site.
