Ebay sellers are asking outrageous prices for vintage Apple iPods
But Apple's not like other computer companies. Its cult-like following leads fans to collect old Apple products long after they're obsolete. One teen in Maine has even turned his collection of vintage Apple products into a technology museum.
So it's not surprising that, as The Guardian points out, some sellers on Ebay are listing older Apple products for truly outrageous sums, hoping that someone will spring for the one device that would complete their collection.
Of course, just because a seller is asking for a specific price doesn't mean that anyone will buy it for that amount. Most of these listings are listed as "Buy It Now," not true auctions. But it's still fun to look through some of the most outrageous Apple listings on Ebay:
