Facebook is officially shutting down its Paper app
Users of the news curation app, which launched in February 2014, were alerted to the shutdown via a message when they opened the app, according to The Verge.
While Paper was lauded as being beautifully designed and a better version of the Facebook app itself, it never really caught on with users.
According to the App Store's description, Paper "reimagines your News Feed as a deck of animated cards that gracefully weaves together text, photo, and video" and was named one of Apple's Best Apps of 2014. But Paper was only available on iOS and hasn't been updated since March 2015.
If you're one of the few who actually still has the Paper app on your phone, know that it will no longer work after July 29.
