Facebook users can now write posts in multiple languages thanks to a powerful new AI tool
Have a Facebook friend who speaks another language? It just got that much easier to communicate with them.
Facebook is releasing an artificial intelligence tool that lets users write a single post in multiple languages. That means you can write your status in your preferred language and then specify what languages you want the post translated to.
Once your post is live, your Facebook friends will only see the post in their preferred language.
Once users compose their post, Facebook will use machine translation to pre-fill messages in the different selected languages. Users can then edit the translation or just take it as is.
Facebook has used the tool on Pages since the beginning of this year. The posts have received 70 million daily views, with 25 million views being in the one of the post's secondary languages.
