GM Q2 Earnings Miss Expectations

The carmaker also took a $900 million charge for possible future recalls over the next decade. This charge is in addition to the $1.4 billion charge the company previously announced related to its already-initiated recalls.
In the second quarter, GM reported revenue of $39.6 billion, up $500 million from a year ago but missing analysts' expectations for $40.6 billion.
