GOQii becomes No. 1 in India's wearable devices market, Xiaomi follows

GOQii, the fitness technology firm from California, became the leader of India's wearable device market in the quarter ending June, leaving behind Xiaomi.

The market is also said to have expanded in the quoted quarter by a massive 42% as compared to the previous quarter, showing that more and more people are now getting interested towards wearable devices.

GOQii secured a 16.1% share in the market, followed by Xiaomi (10.3%), Fitbit (6.7%), Garmin (1.4%) and Huawei (1%), says data from International Data Corporation (IDC).

"The access to a personal trainer has been the unique selling point of the vendor and with the launch of second generation of device, GOQii has created an ecosystem including partnership with diagnostic centres and doctors," IDC said, as per ET.
