Geno Smith is still 'pissed' at the Jets for re-signing Ryan Fitzpatrick

The New York Jets had eight turnovers against the Kansas City Chiefs in a Week 3 loss, six of which came from starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Meanwhile, Geno Smith remains the team's backup, and on Friday he did not hold back from expressing his displeasure with his current situation.
"I'm still pissed off," he told Bleacher Report, referring to the team's decision this summer to re-sign Fitzpatrick on a one-year contract.
He added that he believes he'll be starting again soon.
"It's going to come," he said. "I'm way too talented."
A lot has changed for Smith over the past year or so. During last year's preseason, he looked poised to retain the starting job after an up-and-down first two seasons as the Jets starter.
Then, teammate IK Enemkpali broke his jaw over a personal dispute. Fitzpatrick got the starting job with Smith sidelined and ran with it, posting one of the best season of his career. A little more than a year later, Smith remains on the bench.
"That situation is not going to define me," Smith said of the incident with Enemkpali. "It never has and never will. I'm too good of a player to let something like that stop me from playing in this league."
He continued: "You can't look at things for what they are right now because life goes on. Five or 10 years from now, I could be a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and no one will remember this. Maybe they'll say this is what elevated me. But I have to use this time right here as a benefit."
Above all else, Smith's sudden decision to speak out - and to speak out so bluntly - feels like a calculated one. Fitzpatrick is coming off an awful game, and the team faces a tough test on Sunday against the Seahawks.
If the Jets fall to 1-3 and Fitzpatrick doesn't improve, why shouldn't they give Geno a go?
