The Texas Republican's office sent out a statement that the ex-president and his wife, Laura Bush, "are pleased to be able to witness the peaceful transfer of power - a hallmark of American democracy - and swearing-in of President Trump and Vice President [Mike] Pence."
In addition to Bush, President Barack Obama and former President Jimmy Carter will be present.
Bush's father, former President George H.W. Bush, will not be attending, and former President Bill Clinton has not yet announced whether or not he will be present.
Both Bushes did not vote for Trump in the November election, with the elder Bush reportedly having voted for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
However, each congratulated Trump following his victory.
