Amid Indian Aviation Industry’s Ongoing Troubles, GoAir Gives Consumers A Reason To Rejoice. India’s low-cost airline has announced that it’s offering fares as low as Rs 1,469 for travel next year. This five-day booking period (December 21 and December 25) has started on Sunday.
According to a PTI report, GoAir has said that this special offer, which is applicable on 1.7 million seats, is available on flights across the GoAir network for a travel period between January 1 and March 31.
"The January-March quarter is traditionally a lean quarter... The purpose of introducing these fares is to make air travel affordable during the period,"Giorgio De Roni , chief executive of the Mumbai-based airline, told PTI in New Delhi.
He also clarified that slashing of tickets prices was not to fuel any fare war in the aviation sector, but the move has been initiated in a bid to make air travel more affordable.
The Wadia-group promoted carried is committed to offer affordable fares that allow it to deliver a sustainable result, added Roni.
