Google search has a new Easter egg that will make you really good at trivia
If you're bored at work or trying to come up with new fodder to impress your dinner party companions, Google search now has you covered.
In Google's latest Easter Egg, if you search for "fun facts" or "I'm feeling curious," you receive a answer to a random question - a fun fact, if you will. When I first tried it I got the question, "Why do they call it a tank top?" which I certainly did not know the answer to.
Google
To get another question you simply tap the "Ask another question" button and start down the unlimited rabbit hole of random knowledge. My next one was, "Is gelato different from ice cream?" And it turns out gelato is actually not just a pretentious name for ice cream.
This new gem is just one in a long line of fun Easter eggs from Google search. Some of my personal favorites are typing in "tilt" to tilt your screen and "do a barrel roll" to have your search window actually do a barrel roll.
And in homage to cult classic "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," if you ask Google search, "What is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?" you will get the answer 42.
