Back in 1986, Mumbai-based gynecologist Dr Indira Hinduja along with a team of doctors made history when they delivered Mumbai’s first and India’s second test-tube baby- Harsha Chavda, via a Caesarean section.

Thirty years later when it was Harsha Chavda’s turn to give birth, she chose none other than the doctor who helped deliver her- Dr Indira Hinduja.
All of 30 years and an accountant by profession, Harsha Chavda just gave birth to a healthy baby boy with the help of the same set of doctors who had helped conceive her.

While talking to newspapers, a happy Harsha claimed that she believed that her baby, born on the auspicious occasion of Shivratri was a gift from God, just like her.

Since Harsha’s birth, Dr Hinduja, also regarded the pioneer of in-vitro technology in India has delivered more than 15,000 test tube babies.
Her pregnancy also proved that test-tube babies can indeed conceive naturally.
