Expectations are for claims to total 300,000, up from last week's 284,000 which was the best reading since February 2006.
Continuing claims are expected to come in at 2,500,000, which would be in-line with last week's reading.
Yesterday's private payroll report from ADP came in a bit light, and initial claims mark the final employment data point before tomorrow morning's jobs report.
