In August, auto sales beat expectations, coming at an annualized pace of 17.45 million vehicles against expectations for a pace of 16.6 million. This was also up from the 16.4 million vehicle pace in July.
Expectations are for sales in September to slow some to an annualized pace of 16.9 million vehicles.
