The latest S&P/Case-Shiller home price index will cross the wires at 9 a.m. ET.

Economists forecast that the 20-city index rose 0.58% month-over-month for April, according to the Bloomberg consensus.

And compared to the previous year, they forecast a 5.41% rise.

Last month, prices in 20 major cities rose 0.85% month-over-month and 5.43% year-over-year.

Prices rose the most in Portland, Seattle and Denver compared to last year.
