The heart diseases are on the rise and growing annually at 9.2%. According to the National Commission for Macroeconomics and Health (NCMH), the heart diseases in people grew to 6.1 million from 2.7 million in 2000.

One of the major reasons for this rate is increased BMI, which then leads to diabetes and high lipid levels too.

Also, Obino conducted a 'Mobile Heart Health Survey' in India and the findings reveal how lifestyles affect men and women differently.

Obino stated links between a largely sedentary lifestyle and the rise of obesity in India, one of the leading causes for heart ailments worldwide.

“Over the last few years, we have been witness to the continual upward spiral of growing heart health concerns in India. And conducting this study brought forth what we suspected all along. A delay in seeking help as well as an increasingly sedentary lifestyle, even amongst the youth is propogating the rise of heart-related ailments in India” said Ritu Soni Srivastava, Founder, Obino.
