'I WANT YOUR PAPERS': New York Daily News channels Uncle Sam in fiery front page on the Russia probe
The New York Daily News previewed its Thursday front page with commentary on special counsel Robert Mueller, amid reports that the Russia investigation is focusing more closely on former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
The cover features Mueller's face superimposed onto an image of Uncle Sam in an iconic World War I poster.
Mueller requested documents involving former national security adviser Michael Flynn and background information on President Donald Trump's Oval Office meeting earlier this year in which he sat with Russian diplomats, according to several media reports published Wednesday.
The move signaled that Mueller focusing more closely on Trump's inner circle and their interactions with Russian operatives before and after he took office.
