IPL’s fate to be decided tomorrow

The IPL Governing Council will meet tomorrow to chalk out a new roadmap for the troubled T20 league.

This is in light of the recent suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Both teams have been suspended for two years as punishment for betting activities of their key officials Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra during the 2013 season.

Council head Rajeev Shukla had commented after the judgment that the league is a ‘robust’ product and will come back stronger with a minimum of eight teams.
