The growth story of Asian Paints is quite impressive and it was founded in 1942 by four friends from then Bombay (now Mumbai)- Champaklal H Choksey, Suryakant C. Dhani, Arvind R. Vakil and Chimanlal N. Choksi.
When Asian Paints was founded, it had a different name. Since 1942, Asian Paints has increased its presence, ventured into home decor and is also the largest paint company in 11 countries.
Asian Paints was included in the list of India's Super 50 companies by Forbes India in 2015 and its plant in Bhandup is the largest single paint factory in the country.
As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility also, Asian Paints does a lot in education and healthcare sectors.
