India is all set to close some bilateral military deals with Israel. The collective worth of this is around $3 billion. This is before Narendra Modi’s Tel Aviv visit this year.At least three deals with Tel Aviv are headed to the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) for the final nod. This will fix Israel's position as one of the top three arms suppliers to India.
The main pact concerns the Rs 10,000-crore joint development of a medium-range surface-to-air missile system for Indian Army. The deal is undergoing financial vetting after conclusion of final contract negotiations.
