Industry Veteran Anjaneya Prasad Exits Syndicate Bank Board

Public sector bank, Syndicate Bank, has informed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) that M Anjaneya Prasad, its government nominated executive director, has resigned from the Board.

“M Anjaneya Prasad, Executive Director of the Bank, nominated by Government of India under Section 9(3)(a) of Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 has ceased to be executive director of the Bank with effect from December 1, 2014 consequent upon attaining superannuation,” said R Ravi, company secretary in the filing, under Clause 30 of the Listing Agreement.

According to the bank’s website, Prasad had joined the company’s Board on August 24, 2011. He has previously worked with another public sector undertaking, Andhra Bank for more than three years. His areas of expertise include planning, operations, marketing, quality assurance, corporate credit among others.
