Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka’s fat pay package to get fatter

After Infosys decided to extend tenure of Vishal Sikka by two years, the company also rewarded the CEO with a pay hike and a redrawn employment contract.
Impressed by the stellar performance of Infosys under the leadership of Sikka, his tenure was extended to 2021.
Now, his annual compensation will revised and presently his annual package stands at about $7 million, including stock options and his salary of $5.08 million.
As per reports, Sikka’s annual package will be re-aligned with the market.
His stock options can form as much as 50-60% of the component of the annual compensation.
"Vishal has brought back stability and a sense of optimism to Infosys' stakeholders. However, in order to see his tenure go beyond these new terms, Vishal has to deliver on sales execution as well," Tom Reuner, MD at HfS Research, told ET.
