Intel India announces new initiatives supporting Digital India

Intel India on Friday launched a slew of initiatives to encourage the use of technology in the country's education ecosystem.

The company said it is collaborating with leading device manufacturers, education digital content and publishers and education solution providers to build end-to-end solutions that promote digital literacy in non-urban India, upskill citizens in tier II cities and beyond, and encourage local innovation.

The company e-launched its latest 'Unnati Kendra at Common Service Centre' in Karnal, Haryana recently. The company's looking to have 100 such facilities across ten states this year. These centres will conduct sessions on digital literacy, computer skills and internet facilities, and guidance sessions in entrepreneurship, language and vocational training.

The company has also launched an online portal to upskill village level entrepreneurs at CSCs.
