J. Jayalalithaa ’s mortal remains will be buried and not cremated and this has put to rest all confusions about her last rites. Initially, there were many speculations on her last rites as per the Hindu Brahmin rituals.
As per various reports, the party high command settled on burial, which is howAIADMK founder MG Ramachandran was laid to rest.
Jayalalithaa passed away on Monday of a cardiac arrest and will be buried next to MGR memorial on Kamarajar Salai, Marina Beach.
The state government has engagedJCB excavators to prepare the burial site.
