We're going to learn what's next for Windows today.

Microsoft is holding an event in San Francisco today to give us a first look at the next version of Windows, which is expected to launch next year.

Keep in mind this isn't a big, splashy launch event. That'll probably happen when Windows 9 (or whatever Microsoft calls it) is more polished. Microsoft is calling today's event a "discussion" about Windows with two executives, Terry Myerson and Joe Belfiore. Microsoft is also going to focus on how the next version of Windows will work for big enterprise customers.

The event starts at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern. You can follow all the news as it happens in the live blog below.
