For the quarter, analysts are expecting:
- Earnings of $0.58 per share on a GAAP basis, down slightly from $0.60 a year ago
- Revenue of $22.14 billion, down slightly from $22.18 billion a year ago
While revenue and earnings are expected to decline, Wall Street is keeping a very close eye specifically on the growth of Microsoft's cloud business - a crucial business with a strong potential for getting the company back on track revenue-wise, even amid a shrinking PC industry.
