Maruti Ciaz crosses the milestone of 1 lakh total sales in India

Maruti Suzuki, India’s biggest automaker, has declared that Ciaz, its mid-sized sedan, has crossed the golden milestone of one lakh cumulative sales in the Indian market last month.It took the car nearly two years, since its launch in October 2014, to touch the milestone of 1 lakh cumulative sales. Until June 2016, Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 1,00,272 units of the said sedan.
"Today, Ciaz is the largest-selling sedan in the A3+ segment. It has enabled us to achieve a market share of 40 per cent in the premium sedan segment," said R S Kalsi, MSI Executive Director, Marketing and Sales.
A statement from the company said that the first five months of 2016, Ciaz saw average monthly sales of more than 5,000 units.
Priced between Rs 7.53 lakh and Rs 9.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the car comes in varieties of petrol and diesel SHVS.
