McKinsey bypasses IIT placement process to hire students through in-house interviews

McKinsey partner Sasi Sunkara told ET the consultancy firm decided to take this route as all IITs begin placements on the same day - December 1. This, he said, limits the firm's visits only to a few campuses, while it wanted partners to meet all the candidates before making an offer.
"We want to be inclusive. This process enhances diversity of candidates and ensures proper calibration across candidates of a similar profile. It also helps us meet 100% of our shortlisted candidates and conduct the complete interview process," Sunkara added. "In the campus
