Mel and Sue quit as hosts of 'The Great British Bake Off'
In a statement to BBC News, the presenters said: "We were very shocked and saddened to learn yesterday evening that 'Bake Off' will be moving from its home. We made no secret of our desire for the show to remain where it was."
The pair added: "We're not going with the dough. We wish all the future bakers every success."
A source told Business Insider that Giedroyc and Perkins were only told at the eleventh hour on Monday evening by "Bake Off" producer Love Productions about its decision to walk away from the BBC. The pair were said to be "furious" at being kept in the dark.

A Love Productions spokesman thanked the presenters for their work on the show over the past six years.
Giedroyc and Perkins are central to 'The Great British Bake Off's" ratings-winning formula, having built a formidable chemistry with judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. They are best known for their innuendos and warmth towards the "Bake Off" contestants.
