With a personal fortune totaling nearly $86 billion, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is the world's richest self-made billionaire, Wealth-X, a global wealth intelligence and prospecting company, revealed. This was revealed in a PTI report.

The second to lead on the list was American business magnate Warren Buffett with $70.1 billion. Spainiard Amancio Ortega, who co-founded Zara in 1975, came in next with a personal fortune of $65 billion.

Others who made it to the top 10 positions includes Larry Ellison ($51.5 billion), Ingvar Kamprad ($48.1 billion), Jeff Bezos ($39.8 billion), Carlos Slim ($35.4 billion), Mark Zuckerberg ($35,3 billion), Wang Jianlin ($35.2 billion) and Michael Bloomberg ($33.7 billion).

The Weath-X list was dominated by american entrepreneurs as their names were seen at 14 of the 25 spots. The total wealth of these 14 successful Americans is greater than GDP of Norway.

This list also carries names of Google's Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and Alibaba chairman Jack Ma. However, no Indian made it to the coveted list.
