Motorola's going after 'meaningful' over 'more' tech with its new Moto G4

Motorola India has launched the fourth generation of the Moto G smartphone. As expected, the Moto G4 will be Amazon India exclusive.

Interestingly, the Lenovo-owned firm's marketing pitch has not been about an obscene features list, but usability. The company's previously shared teasers have also contrasted the offering with others that hang while playing video games, have low battery back up, and deliver blur images due to slow camera auto-focus.

"As much as our competition will say more is better, we believe more of meaningful tech is better," Amit Boni, Country Manager, Motorola India said.

Motorola claims its new phones click better low light pictures, and focus quicker with its new Laser focus. New features include a professional mode, which offers more control over the camera.

The Motorola Moto G (Gen 4) and the Moto G4 Plus feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display, an 1.5 GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage, and a 13 MP rear camera. The Moto G4 Plus sports a fingerprint sensor, and a 16 MP rear camera. Both come with Turbo Charging now with 6 hrs of power in 15 mins.
