Multiple people were killed when a gunman opened fire in an eastern New Mexico library on Monday, local news outlets are reporting.

The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. local time at the Clovis-Carter Public Library in Clovis, New Mexico. A suspect, whose name has not been released, has been taken into custody.
The exact number of fatalities is unclear. Six people were injured in the shooting, NBC reported.
