Now, NFL security has opened an investigation into the incident, according to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN.
The incident occurred just after Beckham had finished speaking with the media after the game. According to Paolantonio, who was in attendance, Beckham left the press area and some loud banging was heard. When Paolantonio went out to investigate, there was a hole in the wall near the grounds crew locker room.
"The grounds crew were saying that Odell Beckham Jr. caused the hole in the wall," Paolantonio said on ESPN. "One of them said they clearly saw him punch the wall."
Paolantonio said he then witnessed Beckham banging his head repeatedly on the door to the Giants locker room.
According to Paolantonio, NFL security is now investigating the incident.
"NFL security is investigating the entire incident," Paolantonio said. "I witnessed them interviewing members of the grounds crew. And one of the NFL security staff told me he later will call the grounds crew members on their cell phones to find out what exactly happened."
It is unclear what, if any, punishment could be handed down to Beckham for punching a hole in a wall after a game. Presumably, this is not the first time a player has broken something after a loss. It may be just that the NFL is being thorough and making sure they know the entire story. But for now, Beckham is being investigated.
