The National Investigation Agency (NIA) busted a suspected ISIS terror unit in Hyderabad and took 11 people in detention for questioning.

After a series of raids in Hyderabad, NIA recovered arms, explosives and Rs 15 lakh in cash, which was to be used for these terror attacks planned for different parts of India.

The men that have been detained are said to have been in touch with their handlers in Syria, and were contemplating terror attacks in India, said the NIA officials.

The Agency got help from Hyderabad police and Telangana Counter Intelligence sleuths, after which it raided Mirchowk, Mogulpura, Bhavani Nagar, Barkas and at a few other places in the Old City of Hyderabad, from where the men were detained and explosives were recovered.
